Academic Scholarships
Hastings College offers several different academic scholarships that award academic excellence at multiple levels.
Walter Scott Scholarship Program
The Walter Scott Scholarship Program represents Hastings College’s highest and most prestigious academic awards. To qualify for one of these scholarships, high school seniors must rank in the top 20 percent of their class or have at least a 3.75 GPA, score a 26 composite or higher on the ACT exam or at least 1170 on the SAT exam and submit a resume of high school activities.

National Merit Award
Full tuition, room, board and general fees are available to all National Merit Finalists. Recipients must list Hastings College as their first choice of school with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Athletic Scholarships
To receive an athletic scholarship, high school students must interview with Hastings College coaches and submit a game video or letter of recommendation from a high school coach.
Special Skill Scholarships
Hastings College offers several scholarships to recognize a student’s ability, potential and passion. Awards are given in the areas of art, dance, cheer, drama, forensics, media, music, rodeo and more. To be selected for these scholarships, high school students must submit a portfolio or samples of their work, tryout or audition.
Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). A total of 64 majors in 32 areas of study and 12 pre-professional programs are offered to more than 1,190 students.
