Hastings College Rodeo Results
The Hastings College Rodeo Club traveled to Black Hills State University at Spearfish, S.D., the weekend of April 2 & 3. Senior Kyle Sanderson, Chambers, Neb., won the First Round of the Rodeo in Steer Wrestling and ended 6th in the Aggregate.
The HC Rodeo Club traveled to South Dakota State University at Brookings, S.D., the weekend of April 7-10. There were two rodeos for the weekend. In the first rodeo, sophomore Jace Bowhay, Beatrice, Neb., placed 9th in the First Round in the Steer Wrestling, 2nd in the Finals, and 3rd in the Aggregate. Sophomore Cassey Micheel, Broken Bow, Neb., placed 5th in the Breakaway Roping in the First Round. Cassey also placed 7th in the Barrel Racing in the First Round, 6th in the Finals, and 6th in the Aggregate.
In the second rodeo, first-year Carrie Coats, Hastings, Neb., placed 7th in the Breakaway Roping in the First Round, 3rd in the Finals, and 3rd in the Aggregate. Cassey Micheel placed 7th in the First Round of the Barrel Racing, 5th in the Finals, and 5th in the Aggregate. Jace Bowhay placed 3rd in the First Round in the Steer Wrestling, 1st in the Finals, and 1st in the Aggregate. Kyle Sanderson placed 2nd in the First Round in the Team Roping and 5th in the Aggregate.
