Hastings College student group plans Festival of Crosses
The Hastings College student group GraceXchange and Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministries-Hastings are hosting the first annual Festival of Crosses from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, April 16 at Good Samaritan Village’s Hoeger Hall in Hastings. Artists across the state will display crosses made from a variety of media. Awards will be presented and refreshments will be served.
Entries will include crosses made from a wide variety of media from sculpture to quilt hangings, cakes to wood carvings, jewelry and children’s designs. There is no admission charge to view these pieces.
Awards will be presented after the entries are judged. The public will select “best in show” winners. Many of the entries will be offered by silent auction with proceeds going to Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministries--Hastings.
