Hastings College to host 3rd Annual Backpack Benefit
The community is invited to attend Hastings College’s 3rd Annual Food 4 Thought Backpack Program Lunch and Silent Auction from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, March 13 at the Barrett Alumni Center. $3 admission for soup/chili, cinnamon rolls and drinks. Free will offerings graciously accepted.
Silent auction items include Eileen’s Cookies Gift Certificate, Family Game Night Basket, Movie Night Basket, Paradise Massage Gift Certificate, Scrapbooking Kit, Winestyles Gift Basket and more. Special donors for the event are Allen’s Superstore, Back Alley Bakery, Barista’s Daily Grind, Eileen’s Cookies, HC Psychology, Paradise Massage, Runza, Russ’ Market, Wal-Mart and Winestyles.
Food 4 Thought is a non-profit organization founded by Hastings College students and designed to provide food over the weekend to children who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program in the Hastings public school system.
