Hastings College student starts new group, kick-off event

Hastings College junior and education major Patrick White, Omaha, Neb., has started a new group on campus called the Future Educators Association (FEA) and has planned a kick-off event featuring a screening of the award-winning documentary “Waiting for Superman” at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 1 in the French Memorial Chapel.

White has utilized the Facebook social network to gather quite a large following for the event, with nearly 300 individuals potentially attending.

“It’s a very exciting film on campus, and I believe it will spark quite a bit of conversation,” White said. “I certainly hope it does.”
