Hastings College students win snow sculpture competition
Hastings College students braved the cold temperatures this January to showcase their snow sculpting talent in the first-annual Bronco Village Snow Sculpture Competition. Seniors Olen King, Chadron, Neb., Scott McLaughlin, Omaha, Neb., Jason Pedersen, Broken Bow, Neb., and Luke Bishard, Evergreen, Colo., had the top three winning masterpieces.

Creativity and size of the entry were given top value. The winners received cash prizes and entry into the Hastings Parks and Recreation Department’s citywide snow sculpture contest, which runs through March 31.
Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
