Rep. Adrian Smith to speak with Hastings College students
U.S. Congressman Adrian Smith will visit with Hastings College students during a one-on-one “town hall with students” at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 3 in the Hazelrigg Student Union Steinhart Room.
Hastings College junior Preston Peterson, Broken Bow, Neb., is an intern in Smith’s Grand Island office and has been working to invite Smith to speak with students.
Smith, who represents Nebraska’s third district in the 112th Congress, is a native of Gering, Neb. Prior to his election to Congress, Smith served as a member of the Gering City Council and represented District 48 for eight years in the Unicameral.
Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
