Hastings College Trustees to hold GI Alumni After Hours event
Hastings College Trustees Kim Dinsdale and William W. Marshall III and the Hastings College Alumni Association personally invite alumni, parents and friends to join them for a Hastings College social and campus update, 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4 at Riverside Golf Club in Grand Island (2820 Riverside Drive).
Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Friends of Hastings College.
After 38 years of dedicated and successful service, Hastings College President Dr. Phil Dudley has announced his plans to retire in June 2011. A series of alumni events in conjunction with Dr. Dudley’s last year as president of Hastings College will be scheduled throughout the remainder of the 2010-11 academic year. Kim Dinsdale is a civic leader from Grand Island, Neb. She serves on the Nebraska Education Telecommunications Commission and the boards of several organizations including the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Nebraska State Historical Foundation, Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer and Community Health Charities of Nebraska. Honored many times for her philanthropy and service, Dinsdale was named Grand Island Woman of the Year, YWCA Woman of Distinction and 2005 Philanthropist of the Year by the Nebraska Association of Fundraising Professionals. She joined the Hastings College Board of Trustees in 2010.
William Marshall III is chairman and president of Five Points Bank in Grand Island, Neb. Past president of the Nebraska Bankers Association, he has served on the boards of many organizations, including St. Francis Medical Center Foundation, State Board of Education, Grand Island Industrial Foundation, Grand Island Board of Education, Grand Island Chamber of Commerce, College Park of Grand Island and Central Nebraska Goodwill Industries. Marshall was elected to the Hastings College Board of Trustees in 2000. He serves on the Budget and Finance/Audit Committee.
