Sixteen Hastings College teams receive 2009-10 NAIA Scholar Team award
With sixteen teams named 2009-10 NAIA Scholar Teams, Hastings College is tied with Biola University (Calif.) for having the most teams to receive the award among all other schools in the NAIA. Hastings College has more teams receiving the honor than any other NAIA school in Nebraska this year.
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar Team award, it must have a minimum
3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average must include all varsity student-athletes certified as eligible.

Home of the Hastings Broncos, Hastings College received the 2010 GPAC All-Sports Trophy for the best overall performance in 19 conference sports, and 53 Broncos were named Academic All-American last year.
