Nov. 9 - Hastings College presents financial literacy seminar “Frugal Living on a College Budget”
Hastings College welcomes accredited financial counselors from the National Student Loan Program (NSLP) for the “Frugal Living on a College Budget” financial seminar at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11 in the Wilson Center Auditorium.
NSLP and the Nebraska Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NeASFAA) have joined together for Nebraska Financial Literacy Week to provide college students at 18 campuses across Nebraska with vital information and tools they need to make sound financial decisions.
Students who participate will also have the opportunity to learn more financial management skills by using NSLP’s Financial Literacy Online at www.nslpflonline.org, a convenient, comprehensive online learning center that includes free courses on budgeting, contracts, credit cards, credit history, identity theft, financing education, insurance and starting a business. Students who successfully complete courses from Nov. 9-30 will be eligible for a drawing for a $500 college scholarship.
