Oct. 7 - Hastings College will host the College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week broadcast

College Fanz Sports Network, the world’s largest online college sports community, will present the College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week, with pre- and post-game content, broadcast live via the internet from Hastings College on Saturday, Oct. 10 when the Broncos play Morningside College at Lloyd Wilson Field. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. The full broadcast will be available at www.hastings.edu or http://www.CollegeFanz.com.

ESPN founder and College Fanz Sports Network creator, Bill Rasmussen, will be on campus starting Friday, Oct. 9.

Saturday’s state-of-the-art broadcast will include full nine-camera production (six in-stadium), graphics, expert broadcasters, half-time features and interviews with coaches, players and Hastings College officials.

Hastings College alumni Brandi Benson ‘06 and Adam Maser ‘06 will host the pre- and post-game shows for the College Fanz Sports Network on Saturday.

Benson’s experience includes play-by-play, color commentary and sports updates on numerous radio stations in Northeast Wyoming, including her role as DJ for the top country music station in the state. Benson recently received honors from the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters for best large market play-by-play. As a student at Hastings College, she provided play-by-play and color commentary for three years for the HC Broncos athletic teams, highlighted by her coverage of the NAIA Women’s DII National Basketball Championship Tournament.

Maser’s experience includes online reporting and video production as the Multimedia Content Producer for the Grand Island Independent along with play-by-play and color commentating duties for radio and web in Nebraska. Maser was sports director for Hometown Family Radio based in McCook, Neb.
Jason Dannelly, producer for the College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week and veteran NAIA sports commentator, and John Thayer, experienced sports commentator and on-air host, will provide game color and play-by-play from the broadcast booth on Saturday.


This inaugural season of College Fanz NAIA Football Game of the Week includes 20 games featuring many of the top-ranked teams in the NAIA. Its broadcast and production team has traveled across the country visiting colleges and allowing fans in attendance to join the broadcast team for special pre- and post-game events.

Home of the Hastings Broncos, Hastings College is a private, four-year liberal arts institution, founded in 1882, affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Hastings College received the 2009 GPAC All-Sports Trophy for the best overall performance in 19 conference sports, and 53 Broncos were named Academic All-American this year.
