Sept. 23 - Artist Lecture Series presents Hastings College economics professor for Invited Faculty Lecture

The Hastings College Artist Lecture Series presents Dr. Douglas Kinnear, associate professor of economics at Hastings College, for the fall Invited Faculty Lecture. Dr. Kinnear will present “Why is it Getting Warmer, and What are we Doing in this Handbasket?” at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 25 in French Memorial Chapel.

In his presentation, Dr. Kinnear will offer a dissection of the sources of the current economic difficulties and an assessment of the future economic prospective.

Dr. Kinnear joined the Hastings College faculty in 2004 and has been teaching for 22 years. He held previous faculty positions at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Francis Marion College and Colorado State University.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Mankato State University and his Master of Science degree and Ph.D. in economics from Colorado State University.
