High-ability learners from across the state will attend the 20th Annual Nebraska Scholars Academy to be held June 21-26 at Hastings College. The one-week residential summer program is designed to provide high-ability students with challenging and enriching opportunities in math, communications and science.

The camp is staffed by highly regarded professors and secondary teachers from Hastings College and across Nebraska. Students will experience classroom activities combined with a variety of social and cultural events.

To be eligible to attend the event, students must be entering the eighth grade in the following academic year, and must have shown ability in communications, math or science. This year, 74 talented students have been selected by the Academy Task Force to attend the camp hosted by Hastings College.
