The following events will take place at Hastings College during the month of December. All events are free unless otherwise noted. Hastings College is located at 710 N. Turner Ave.
Hastings College “Christmas Card to the Community”
The Hastings College Music Department will present a “Christmas Card to the Community,” Sunday, Dec. 7. A number of activities will take place on campus throughout the afternoon and evening. All events are free and open to the public.
Events include:
3:30 p.m., Holiday Readings – featuring Darrel Lloyd, professor emeritus of English, and Dr. Richard Lloyd, vice president for college initiatives, Perkins
Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music.
5 p.m., Band Concert – Hastings College Band (including music by Vocal Spectrum), French Memorial Chapel.
7 p.m., Festival of Lessons and Carols – featuring the Hastings College Choir and Hastings College Bell Choir.
8 p.m., Wassail Reception – hosted by Crimson Connection. Entertainment provided by the Hastings College Men’s Choir and Flute Choir, Hazelrigg Student Union Dining Room.

Dec. 1 – 17, paintings by Nebraska artist Nadine McHenry, “Moovin’ Cows.”
1:30 – 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, artist’s reception, Art Gallery.
Theatre
7 p.m., Friday – Saturday, Dec. 5 – 6, The Arkansaw Bear, annual play for children, by Aurand Harris, Scott Studio Theatre.
