Nov. 14, 2008 - Hastings College Jazz Ensemble and vocal ensembles to perform

The Hastings College Jazz Ensemble and several vocal ensembles will perform, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m., in French Memorial Chapel.
The performance is free and open to the public.
The Hastings College Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Marc LaChance, will perform Nestico’s Basie Straight Ahead and Blue Chip, Kern’s Look for the Silver Lining, McShann’s Swingmatism, Metheny’s Another Life, Berg’s Gates of Tashbaan, Akiyoshi’s Tuning Up, and Porter’s Easy to Love.
Vocal Spectrum, directed by Dr. Fritz Mountford, will sing Hamilton and Lewis’ How High the Moon, Kunz’s You’ll Be There, Sled’s Jing-a-lye-a, and Matamoros’ Son de la loma.
Vocalocho, VoiceWorks, and 1-2-5 vocal ensembles will also perform.
