Nov. 13, 2008 - Hastings College forensics results

The Hastings College forensics team competed in the “Blue Dragon” invitational, Sunday, Nov. 9, at Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kan.

Curt Casper, sophomore, next out (one place from breaking into the final round), persuasion; next out, informative speaking; 6th place, prose interpretation, Terri Casper, Lexington, Neb.


Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). A total of 64 majors in 32 areas of study and 12 pre-professional programs are offered to 1,146 students. The college was cited among “Best Liberal Arts Colleges” in U.S. News & World Report, America’s Best Colleges 2009, was included in The Princeton Review’s “Best in the Midwest” section on its website featuring 2009 Best Colleges: Region by Region, and was listed among top liberal arts colleges in Nebraska by Washington Monthly magazine.
