Oct. 22, 2008 - LaChance to perform in Hastings College faculty recital

Dr. Marc LaChance, Hastings College associate professor of music, will perform in a trombone recital, Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m., in Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music.
The recital is free and open to the public.
LaChance will perform a set of his original jazz pieces including: Plausible Deniability, Stream of Semi-Consciousness, Joan, Temporary Burning Sensation, No You Go!, Guano, and Dirk.
Providing musical accompaniment will be: Dr. Jonathan Sokasits, professor of music, piano; Dr. Byron Jensen, professor of music, bass; Dr. Daniel Laing, assistant director of music and director of bands; trumpet; Dr. Debra McKim, professor of music, alto and soprano saxophone; and Jay Bayles, drums.
LaChance has been a member of the faculty since 2000. He completed a bachelor of music education degree at the University of Northern Colorado; a master of music degree at Bowling Green State University, and a doctor of music degree at the University of Illinois.
