2005 - 2006 Releases

April 10, 2006 - Hastings College to present The Skin of Our Teeth

The Hastings College Department of Theatre Arts will present Thornton Wilder’s The Skin of Our Teeth, Thursday-Saturday, May 4, 5, and 6 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 7 at 2 p.m., in Scott Studio Theatre. The box office will be open from 12 to 5 p.m., weekdays, beginning Thursday, April 27. Call (402) 461-7380, or e-mail tickets@hastings.edu. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and non-Hastings College students. Directed by Jim Fritzler, associate professor of theatre arts, The Skin of Our Teeth tells the story of the extraordinary Antrobus family. They have survived floods, fires, pestilence, seven-year locusts, the ice age, the pox, a dozen wars and Depressions. The family is bewitched, befuddled and becalmed, and this timely classic American play is a wonderfully wise, exciting and profound stage fable. Stage manager is sophomore Luis Ayala, son of Diego/Tammy Ayala, Neligh, Neb. Assistant stage manager is Meggan Lloyd, freshman, daughter of Rich/Monica Lloyd, Hastings, Neb.
