April 10, 2006 - Hastings College students to participate in Day of Silence

Hastings College students will join with other students across the country, Wednesday, April 12, by participating in the Day of Silence. Focus of this project is to increase access to underrepresented students on campuses, including: gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) people. The college’s Alliance organization is hosting a variety of events in observance of the project. “The Day of Silence,” said senior JohnCarl Denkovich, “is especially relevant to Hastings College because as a whole, thanks to remarkable administrative support, this college has progressed a great deal on the road to tolerance, acceptance, and inclusiveness of GLBT persons and their allies.”
