January 6, 2006 - Tenor Vincent Learned to perform at Hastings College

    Tenor Vincent T. Learned will present “An Evening of Music Theatre,” Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m., in Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music. The performance is free, and the public is invited to attend.     For the past 20 years, Learned, Lincoln, Neb., has been one of the city’s leading theatre professionals. He received the 2003 Mayor’s Arts Award for Excellence in Theatre, and is a founding member of Lincoln’s Haymarket Theatre. Learned has performed at the Johnny Carson Theatre, the Nebraska Repertory Theatre and at Pinewood Bowl. He has been in productions such as The Wizard of Oz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Billy Bishop Goes to War.     Learned has performed with the Hastings Symphony Orchestra and Third Chair Chamber Players.     Learned is staff accompanist for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s dance program. He accompanies ballet and modern dance classes, and teaches music for dance.
