November 23, 2005 - Pianist Kenneth Huber to perform at Hastings College
Critically-acclaimed concert pianist Kenneth Huber will perform in a recital Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 8 p.m., in Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music. The public is invited to the free performance.
A native of Hastings, Neb., Huber will perform pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Claude Debussy, Johann Sebastian Bach, Jehan Alain, and Franz Liszt.
Huber is a member of the piano faculty at Carleton College, Northfield, Minn., and also teaches private lessons. He has performed extensively throughout the United States as a recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist. Huber resides in New York City and Minneapolis.
In 1981, Huber made his Carnegie Recital Hall debut with cellist Paul Lawrence, and in 1997, appeared at Carnegie Hall as pianist with the Carleton Singers. For four years, he was concert pianist for the United States Navy Band in Washington, D.C.
At noon, Huber will present a guest lecture in Perkins Auditorium.
