The Hastings College Handbell Choir will perform Tuesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 621 N. Lincoln Avenue. The concert is free and open to the public.

 The choir, directed by Dr. Byron Jensen, associate professor of music, will perform sacred and secular music including pieces by Kevin McChesney and Arnold B. Sherman. Selections will include: Meditation on Beautiful Savior, National Hymn, He Never Said a Mumbalin’ Word, Synergy, and Rhythmic Rip!

 The Hastings College Handbell Choir was initiated in 2003. Handbells and chimes were purchased with grant money from Lilly Endowment, Inc., as part of the college’s Vocation and Values Program.
