April 11, 2007 - Hastings College Department of Theatre to present The Book of Liz

The Hastings College Department of Theatre will present The Book of Liz, Thursday – Saturday, May 3 – 5, at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 6, at 12:30 p.m. The box office opens Thursday, April 26, and remains open weekdays from 12 to 5 p.m.  Call (402) 461-7380, or e-mail tickets@hastings.edu.


 Dinner will be served in the theatre prior to each performance. Tickets for dinner and the show are $20 for adults and $15 for students. Reservations must be made by
2 p.m. the day prior to the performance.


 The Book of Liz, written by Amy Sedaris and David Sedaris, features Sister Elizabeth Donderstock who makes cheese balls that sustain the existence of her religious community. She feels unappreciated and decides to try her luck in the outside world. Things go great for Liz, until she’s offered a promotion to manager.


 The Book of Liz is directed by Jim Fritzler, associate professor of theatre arts.
Stage manager is Katti McNally, freshman, Loveland, Colo., daughter of Timothy and Sandra McNally; and assistant stage manager is Ahmed Davis, junior, son of McHuey and Cecilia Davis, Houston, Texas.
