March 14, 2007 - Hastings College students volunteer for Habitat for Humanity
Fourteen Hastings College students will spend spring break in Winston-Salem, N.C., volunteering with Habitat for Humanity International.
Students, who are affiliated with the college’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity, will spend March 18-24 helping build a house for an underprivileged family.
Trip sponsor is Richard “Buddy” Doty, director of student leadership development.

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat for Humanity has built more than 225,000 houses around the world, providing more than one million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter. The organization was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller.
