Classical guitarist Dr. Dan Quinn will perform at Hastings College, Thursday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 p.m., in Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music. Quinn will also present a lecture in Perkins Auditorium, Thursday at 1 p.m. He will address “Guitar Music of Japan.”

Both presentations are free and open to the public.

For the past 15 years, Quinn has performed music by Japanese composers in the United States, Canada, and Japan. He completed a doctoral degree in guitar performance and literature. The subject of his dissertation, and his most recent CD, Guitar Music by Japanese Composers, received tremendous interest from the classical guitar community.

Quinn teaches at the University of St. Francis and for the Fine Arts Academy at Grace College.
