September 26, 2006 - International peacemaker to speak at Hastings College

Rev. Philippe Perrenoud, an international peacemaker from France, will lecture at Hastings College, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m., in French Memorial Chapel. He will also speak at chapel, Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m., also in French Memorial Chapel. The chapel service will celebrate world communion and the Chapel Band will perform. Both presentations are open to the public.

Rev. Philippe Perrenoud, an international peacemaker from France, will lecture at Hastings College, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m., in French Memorial Chapel. He will also speak at chapel, Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m., also in French Memorial Chapel. The chapel service will celebrate world communion and the Chapel Band will perform. Both presentations are open to the public.
Perrenoud was born in France, but spent his childhood in Algeria and Switzerland. He serves as a minister in the Reformed Church of France, living in Orange in the Provence region. Perrenoud’s ministry includes building bridges across geographic, social, religious, and other barriers in the world.
International peacemakers are leaders who are engaged in peacemaking in their own areas of the world. They are invited by the Presbyterian Church (USA) to visit with Presbyterians in the United States to increase awareness and understanding of peace and justice concerns around the world.
