September 26, 2006 - Dr. Elinore Barber, Hastings College archivist, to speak

Dr. Elinore Barber, Hastings College archivist and music historian, will present a lecture Sunday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m., in Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Barber will discuss “Fakes, Facts, and Fantasies.”

Refreshments will be served following the lecture, and Barber will be available to answer questions.

Barber taught in the Hastings College Music Department from 1944 to 1969. She became director of the Riemenschneider Bach Institute, Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, Ohio. She also was editor of the BACH Journal.

Barber returned to Hastings College in 1998 to serve as historian and archivist.
