September 6, 2006 - Bafatsana Gauteng Ensemble to perform at Hastings College
Hastings College will host the Bafatsana Gauteng Ensemble, Wednesday, Sept. 13, in French Memorial Chapel. The ensemble will participate in chapel worship at 10 a.m., and perform in concert at 8 p.m. Both performances are free and open to the public. Rev. Leshy Paynter, tour director, chaplain and narrator for the ensemble, will preach at the morning chapel service. The Zulu a cappella chorus from South Africa performed at the college last year. Arranged by the International Exchange Ministries, the ensemble’s tour will also take them to Minnesota and Iowa.

Paynter’s wife, Gilty, serves as choreographer and artistic director for the group.
