June 13, 2007 - Rouse selected for Omicron Delta Kappa program
Hastings College senior Aaron Rouse was selected to participate in the Omicron Delta Kappa annual Campus Leaders Today, Community Leaders Tomorrow program, June 19-22, at the Edith Macy Conference Center in Briarcliff, N.Y. Rouse will also meet with selected non-profit board and staff members in New York City.
Rouse was one of 40 students selected to participate and receive training designed to prepare him for service as a board member for nonprofit organizations.
Rouse, son of Larry and Vicki Rouse, Trumbull, Neb., is a business administration major. A Giltner High School graduate, Rouse served as Hastings College Student Association president last year.
Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) is a national leadership honor society founded in 1914 at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Ky. Membership in ODK is based on character, scholarship and intelligence, service and leadership, and citizenship. Juniors and seniors who rank in the top 35 percent of their class are eligible to apply for membership. Members must show distinction in scholarship, athletics, campus or community service, media, or the arts. More than 300 college campuses nationwide now have ODK chapters.
