May 11, 2007 - Stromers receive President's Award at Hastings College

Darrel and Marilyn Stromer, Juniata, Neb., were honored with the Hastings College President’s Award at the annual Honors Convocation, Friday, May 11, in French Memorial Chapel.

The President’s Award recognizes meritorious service to the college.

“The Stromers have been wonderful friends of the college for many years,” said Dr. Phillip Dudley, president. “They never fail to come forward when we need their assistance on campus projects.  Hastings College is a better place because of their hard work and generosity.”

Through their land leveling company, the Stromers have donated a significant amount of work for the site preparation of capital projects such as the Barrett Family Alumni Center, the Osborne Family Sports Complex, and the new outdoor track facility.

Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
