June 10, 2008 - Hastings College Omicron Delta Kappa members recognized

Two members of the Hastings College Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) leadership honor society were recently recognized.
Jossy Newquist, Aurora, Neb., who graduated from Hastings College in May, was named Region IV Leader of the Year. She was cited for her contributions to the campus community and to the ideals of ODK. Newquist is one of four regional leaders being considered by a national committee for the General Russell E. Dougherty National Leader of the Year.
Newquist is the daughter of Ernest and Kristine Newquist.
Tyler Keyser, Cambridge, Neb., who will be a senior in the fall, was selected to participate in the annual Campus Leaders Today, Community Leaders Tomorrow program, June 10-13, 2008, at the Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. The program brings together 30-40 college leaders to prepare them for service as board members for non-profit organizations. Participants attend lectures and discussions and will meet with selected non-profit board and staff members.
Keyser is the son of Daniel and Jackie Keyser.
ODK is a national leadership honor society that is involved in campus and community service.
