May 9, 2008 - Sunderland Foundation recipient of Hastings College Presidents Award
The Sunderland Foundation, based in Overland Park, Kan., was honored with the Hastings College President’s Award at the annual Honors Convocation, Friday, May 11, in French Memorial Chapel.
Kent Sunderland is president of the foundation.
The President’s Award recognizes meritorious service to the college.
“Hastings College is grateful for the many years of support extended by The Sunderland Foundation,” said Dr. Phil Dudley, president. “The foundation’s gifts have helped fund several of the most important buildings on our campus. We count The Sunderland Foundation among our most loyal and generous friends.”
The Sunderland Foundation has been a generous supporter of Hastings College for many years. Its gifts helped construct the Wilson Mathematics and Computer Science Center and the Osborne Family Sports Complex. The foundation has also contributed to the campaign for the Morrison-Reeves Science Center.
