April 16, 2008 - Hastings College students to perform in chamber music recital
Hastings College students will present a chamber music recital, Tuesday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m., in Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music. Featured will be a saxophone quartet and a brass ensemble. The recital is free and open to the public.
The saxophone quartet will perform selections by composers: Bozza, Albeniz and Gershwin. The group will also perform Celtic music.
Quartet members include:
Tony Fagiolo, soprano saxophone, senior, Guy/Kimberly Fagiolo, Hastings, Neb.
Nathan Mertens, baritone saxophone, freshman, James Mertens/Tammy Moore, Waverly, Neb.
Richard Morhardt, tenor saxophone, junior, Marietta Morhardt/Bryan Morhardt, Omaha, Neb.
Tom Mahoney, alto saxophone, junior, J. Todd/Cynthia Mahoney, Mitchell, Neb.
The brass ensemble will play selections by composers: Ewald, Gabrieli and Fux. The group will also play a Spanish march.
