Hastings College freshman Jennifer Clark, Hastings, Neb., was recently named a New Century Scholar. The New Century Scholar program is an extension of the All-USA Academic Team competition. Clark had the highest score out of Nebraska students in the competition, and will receive a $2,000 stipend funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. Clark will be honored at the American Association of Community Colleges convention in Philadelphia in April.  

Clark was also named a Gusitwhite Scholar of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She was one of 20 students selected from 600 applicants. Guistwhite Scholars are awarded $5,000 scholarships to facilitate completion of baccalaureate degrees. Clark will be recognized at the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention in Philadelphia in April. 

 Clark is the daughter of Cindy Clark.
