March 5, 2008 - Hastings College Choir to perform
The Hastings College Choir will perform in a “Spring Vespers” concert, Sunday, March 9, at 5 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 621 N. Lincoln Ave.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The choir, under the direction of Dr. Fritz Mountford, professor of music, will perform a kaleidoscope of music.
Works will include classical pieces by Palestrina, Hassler, Brahms, and Mozart; by English composers Robert Pearsall and Gilbert and Sullivan, and will include selections from Rutter’s Requiem. Contemporary pieces will be performed by small vocal ensembles.
