The following events will take place at Hastings College during the month of February. All events are free unless otherwise noted. Hastings College is located at 710 N. Turner Ave.


Art Gallery
Feb. 10 – March 8, Women’s History Month, art show.
 Gallery hours: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., weekdays; 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday; and
2 – 4 p.m., Sunday.


Music
3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, Hastings College High School Honor Band, Choir and
 Orchestra Festival, Kiewit Gymnasium. Tickets: $8, adults, $5, students,
may be purchased at the door.  
7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12, faculty recital, Dr. Marc LaChance, trombone,
 Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music.
7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, benefit concert for freshman Jayne Irvine’s family,
French Memorial Chapel.
5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17, guest recital, Organ Vespers Series, Lorenz Maycher, organ,
 First Presbyterian Church, 621 N. Lincoln Ave.
7:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, faculty and guest recital, Chamber Music Recital II,
Dr. Jonathan Sokasits and Diane Petrella, pianos; and Nick Petrella and James
Snell, percussion, Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music. 


Theatre
8 p.m., Thursday – Saturday, Feb. 7 – 9, “Into the Woods,” a musical by Sondheim and
 Lapine, Scott Studio Theatre.
2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 10, “Into the Woods,” a musical by Sondheim and Lapine, Scott
 Studio Theatre.
 Box office opens Thursday, Jan. 31, and remains open Monday-Friday,

Lectures
7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, Black History Month speaker, James Perkins, Jr., mayor of
 Selma, Ala., French Memorial Chapel.
10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 18, history forum, Dr. Robert Babcock, professor of history,
 Hazelrigg Student Union, Room C.
7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, Richard Rodriguez, author and Emmy-winning essayist,
 Artist Lecture Series speaker, French Memorial Chapel.
