The annual Hastings College holiday lighting ceremony will take place at French Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to join students, faculty and staff for a short program in the chapel. “The Night Before Christmas” will be read by Darrel Lloyd, retired Hastings College professor of English.

Santa Claus and the Hastings College Choir will make a special appearance, and the audience can join in the singing of Christmas carols.

Participants will gather outside and take part in the traditional countdown for the lighting ceremony in Circle Drive, which features a 26-foot Christmas tree.

Hot chocolate, cookies and cider will available at no charge.
