Oct. 17, 2007 - Astronaut Clayton Anderson to talk to Hastings College students

Astronaut Clayton Anderson will talk to Hastings students via a NASA live downlink, Monday, Oct. 22, at 11:10 a.m., in Studio B, Gray Center for Communication Arts, 1100 N. Elm Avenue.


 Representatives of the media are invited to the Gray Center to view the coverage.


 During the 20-minute session, students will hear and see Anderson, who is on board the International Space Station. They will also have the opportunity to ask Anderson questions.


 The downlink will be aired live on HCTV, available to Charter Cable subscribers in Hastings on

Channel 6. 


 Anderson, a 1981 Hastings College graduate, was one of seven crew members aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis when it launched from Kennedy Space Center, June 8. Anderson remained on the International Space Station with two Russian cosmonauts. He is scheduled to return to Earth in early November.
