Hubbard Street 2, a professional dance troupe from Chicago, will perform at Hastings College, Saturday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m., in Scott Studio Theatre.

Hubbard Street 2 is a company of six dancers between the ages of 17 and 25. They perform a repertoire of works by some of the nation’s most promising choreographers.

The troupe performs in front of more than 35,000 people annually through performances in schools, community centers and theatres. Since its inception in 1997, the company has become a respected training ground for young, professional dancers and choreographers.

Hubbard Street 2 is a major component of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s (HSDC) Education and Community Programs and is a major a resource for new dancers for HSDC’s main company.

The performance is sponsored by the Hastings College Theatre and Physical Education Departments and the Lied Center for Performing Arts, Lincoln, Neb.
