Oct. 8, 2007 - Hastings College Department of Music to present Handel’s Messiah

The Hastings College Department of Music will build upon a long-standing college/community holiday tradition with the performance of Handel’s Messiah. This is the college’s 24th performance of the famous oratorio, and is part of the college’s 125th anniversary celebration.


Singers from Hastings and the south central Nebraska area are invited to participate in the choir. The choir will also include Hastings College faculty, staff and students, and ensembles from several Nebraska high schools.


The Messiah performance will be held Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m., in Lynn Farrell Arena, Osborne Family Sports Complex.


Rehearsals will be held Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Perkins Auditorium, Fuhr Hall of Music.  Rehearsal dates are Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15, and 29.
