Jacob Goad, a missionary worker in Lima, Peru, will speak at Hastings College, Wednesday, Oct. 10, at a 10 a.m. service in French Memorial Chapel. The Hastings College Men’s Choir will also perform.

 The public is invited to attend.

 Goad has served as a missionary in Lima for eight months, and has already been airlifted into an earthquake zone, slept amid the crumbling ruins of a city, and helped to launch two feeding programs for earthquake survivors.

 Goad was appointed to a two-year term of service to coordinate Presbyterian Church (USA) mission teams and delegations arriving to work in Peru.

 A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Goad was mission coordinator for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and part of Students United for Dafur Awareness Now.
