Oct. 2, 2007 - Dr. Caroline McCracken-Flesher to speak at Hastings College
Dr. Caroline McCracken-Flesher will speak at a Hastings College, Monday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. The history/English forum will take place in Hazelrigg Student Union, Room C.
The public is invited to attend, and refreshments will be served.
McCracken-Flesher is well-known on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean for her expertise in Scottish studies and the Calvinist roots of Scottish Culture. In 2005, she authored “Possible Scotlands: Walter Scott and the Story of Tomorrow,” and in 2007, was editor of “Culture, Nation and the New Scottish Parliament.”
A professor of English at the University of Wyoming, McCracken-Flesher completed a master of arts degree at the University of Edinburgh, and a second master of arts degree and a doctoral degree at Brown University.
