In addition to offering programs leading to certification in elementary, secondary and special education, Hastings College offers field and subject endorsements. At least one is required for certification, but we recommend selecting two subject endorsements to increase opportunities after graduation. Endorsement areas include:

• Hastings College is accredited to offer programs in teacher education by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and by the Nebraska State Department of Education.
• You can choose to participate in a fifth-year graduate program to receive a Master of Arts in Teaching degree (MAT).
• Take advantage of J-Term, our January interim period, to practice your skills around the world, explore a unique internship, or immerse yourself into an in-depth course on campus.
