JULIA ALBIN AND KELLY HOGAN NAMED TO 2009 DAKTRONICS-NAIA WOMEN'S TENNIS SCHOLAR-ATHLETES LIST
May 29---Julia Albin and Kelly Hogan have been named to the 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Tennis Scholar-Athletes List for their work in the classroom this season. Albin, a junior from Wakeeney, Kansas and Hogan, a senior from Hastings, Neb. have been placed on the Scholar-Athlete List for their efforts in the classroom as well as on the tennis courts. Each recipient must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

LADY BRONCOS PLACE SIX ON GPAC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS
May 15---The Hastings College women's tennis team placed six members on the GPAC All-Conference teams. Alexia Spencer would lead the way for the Lady Broncos as the senior from Longmont, Colo. was named 1st team All-Conference in both singles and doubles. Spencer was the Lady Broncos #1 singles player all year. She was also partnered with Erica Herrera as the Lady Broncos #1 doubles team. Herrera, the junior from Lubbock, Texas was also named to the 1st team as the doubles partner with Alexia Spencer. Herrera was named GPAC Honorable-Mention as the Lady Broncos #2 singles player as well. Hastings would place four other members on the GPAC Honorable-Mention list for singles players: Ashley Potrzeba, Stacey Fausset, Cammie Koopman and Stephanie Larson. All four were also placed on the Honorable-Mention list as doubles players. Potrzeba and Fausset were the Lady Broncos #2 doubles team while Koopman and Larson were the Lady Broncos #3 doubles team. Hastings finished the year 8-6 overall and 5-3 in the conference for a fourth place finish.
HASTINGS FALLS 5-1 TO UNIV. OF SIOUX FALLS IN GPAC TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS
May 2---The Hastings College women's tennis team fell to the University of Sioux Falls 5-1 Saturday afternoon in Fremont, Neb. at the GPAC Tournament semi-finals. The Lady Broncos would receive their only win from the doubles team of Kelly Hogan and Cammie Koopman at #3 Doubles.

LADY BRONCOS ADVANCE TO SEMI-FINALS WITH 7-2 WIN OVER MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE
May 1---The Hastings College women's tennis team defeated Morningside College 7-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the GPAC Tournament. The Lady Broncos will face top-seeded Univ. of Sioux Falls at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 2 at the Fremont High School Tennis Courts in Fremont, Neb.

GPAC CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN'S TENNIS SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
April 29---The GPAC women's tennis tournament schedule has been announced. The tournament will be held on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 in Fremont, Neb. at Fremont High School Tennis Courts. University of Sioux Falls has received the #1 seed and Concordia University has received the #2 seed for the tournament. Both teams will be given a first round bye. Hastings College is the #4 seed and will face #5 seed Morningside College at 2 p.m. in Fremont. The complete tournament schedule is listed below:

April 23---The Hastings College women's tennis team edged Doane College Thursday afternoon in Hastings, Neb. by a score of 5-4. With the win, the Lady Broncos are now 7-5 on the season and 5-3 in the conference. Hastings will conclude the season on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 as they compete in the GPAC Championships held at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Neb.

HASTINGS DROPS 8-1 DECISION TO THE UNIV. OF NEBRASKA-KEARNEY
April 21---The Hastings College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision Tuesday afternoon in Kearney, Neb. to the Univ. of Nebraska-Kearney. Hastings would receive their lone victory off Stephanie Larson as she would win her singles match 6-2, 7-5. The Lady Broncos are now 6-5 on the season and remain 5-3 in the conference. Hastings will be back in action on Thursday, April 23 as they play host to Doane College at 4 p.m.

April 20---The Hastings College women's tennis team went 1-1 over the weekend as the defeated Morningside College 7-2 and dropped a 5-4 decision to the University of Sioux Falls. Both matches were played in Omaha, Neb. With the results the Lady Broncos are 6-4 on the season and 5-3 in the conference. April 16---The Hastings College women's tennis team got back to their winning ways with a 8-1 win over Midland Lutheran College Thursday afternoon in Hastings, Neb. The win brings the Lady Broncos overall record to 5-3 while the improve to 4-2 in the conference. Hastings will be back in action as they head to Omaha, Neb. to take on Morningside College and the Univ. of Sioux Falls. The Lady Broncos will square of with Morningside at 10 a.m. and then face the Cougars of Sioux Falls at 2 p.m.

Alexia Spencer had a big day for Hastings as she won her #1 singles match and her #1 doubles match with teammate Erica Herrera. Hastings will be back in action on Thursday, April 16 when they host Midland Lutheran College at 4 p.m. in Hastings, Neb.

Feb. 26---The Hastings College women's tennis team was scheduled to play Briar Cliff University on Friday, March 6 in Lincoln, Neb. That match has been postponed. A make-up date has not yet been set. The Lady Broncos are in action this weekend as they host the University of Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday, March 1 in Hastings, Neb.
