BRONCOS DOWN MIDLAND IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE
Nov. 14--Hastings College jumped to an early lead and then used a stingy defense and a few big plays to hold on for a 27-14 for Midland Lutheran College.  After taking a 10-0 first quarter lead, Maurice Mansfield broke loose for a 70 yard touchdown run midway through the 2nd quarter.  Midland then got on the board with a Derr Middleton 5 yard scoring run.  Hastings had a chance to increase their lead before half, but a fumble inside the Midland 10 yard line ended the threat.

After a scoreless 3rd quarter, Midland closed the gap to 3 with a 9 play drive capped by an Eric Hart 1 yard touchdown.  But Mansfield took the ensuing kickoff 78 yards for a score to put the Broncos back up by 10.  A 32 yard Ernsesto Lacayo field goal capped the scoring.
