Track and Field -- NWU and USD Results

The Hastings College track and field teams split the squads to compete at the Nebraska Wesleyan Triangular and the John Dalton Invite at University of South Dakota.

Bronco Wrestler, Jameon Rush, Shoots for 100 Wins

Jameon Rush, a junior from Clay Center, KS, will be going for his 100th win on Thursday when the wrestling team duals against Concordia. Rush has been a steady force for the 3 year program as he has an overall record of 99-48 and currently sits at 30-8 and ranked #8 in the nation at 174 lbs.

In a heavy weight match up between the #1 Broncos, the top team in the conference, and #4 ranked Briar Cliff, second in the conference standings, the home team out lasted the visitors 70-64.

Track and Field -- Fritz Named GPAC Athlete of the Week

Hastings College senior Scott Fritz is the athlete of the week. Fritz, a senior from Cozad, Nebraska, won the weight throw and placed third in the shot put at the Doane Scott Nisely Memorial Classic. This is the second time this season Fritz has been named the GPAC athlete of the week.

Jameon Rush, a junior from Clay Center, Kansas was selected 1st Team All Conference.

The baseball team was selected 8th in the GPAC Coaches' Preseason Poll receiving 82 points. The team finished second last year with a 16-8 conference record.
