What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
Our Center for Vocation, Faith & Service Program stresses the gifts each student has for serving others. As students serve, they always have many questions: is this right for me? Am I making a difference? Questions like these soon change, though, to what is causing so many people to need our help.
In addressing these challenges X our program helps students faithfully develop social justice commitments — to feed the hungry, to provide shelter after natural disasters, to work for environmental sustainability. At every step of the way, students are encouraged to link these questions to their academic course work and to their faith journey. What does God require of me? What does God require of a faithful Christian community?
Involvement with local congregational life, and leadership in campus religious life, stand as major pillars of the Center for Vocation, Faith & Service Program and the Christian Ministry Program.
Our program is committed to strengthening the congregations of the Great Plains, and to an interconnection with religious life on campus. In the classroom, in the chapel, and in local churches, we discover paths of congregational leadership and ministry.
