Aaron Lauer

Aaron Lauer, Research Associate at United Theological Seminar of the Twin Cities

“After graduating [from Hastings College], I went to United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and got a Masters in Religion and Theology. My time at HC was an excellent preparation for the academic work I was doing in seminary. I learned practical ministry tools and the basic texts of religious study. More importantly, though, was my ability to think critically and creatively about religion and history, something I learned in my time at Hastings College.”

Megan Worthman, Student at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology

“Dr. Dan Deffenbaugh would host Common Grounds at his house. He facilitated these gatherings so we could discuss what we learned in class, ask additional questions and consider how we could live lives of service. Hastings College is truly a place where you lead an authentic life as a person of faith.”
