Q: "What about the time commitment?"

Sarah: "We all agree that in addition to a certain amount of talent, it takes an investment of time and energy to pursue excellence. Our ensemble rehearsal & performance calendar is carefully monitored to allow members to participate fully in various other campus activities.

HC Singers and Men's Choir meet twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) during the noon hour. Both ensembles perform two or three times each semester both on and off campus in evening concerts or for a Wednesday morning chapel service.

Entertainment Arts Ensembles meet two or three times a week in six scheduled rehearsal slots. The Hastings College Choir meets daily for a fifty-minute rehearsal during the 4:00-6:00 afternoon 'activity period' and performs at least two formal evening concerts each semester. In addition the College Choir traditionally performs for the New Student Days Convocation, Hastings College Sunday, and in guest appearances with the Hastings Symphony and in churches and schools."
