Dr. Robert and Rogene Johnston Endowed Chemistry Fund
There are several ways in which you can give directly to the Chemistry Department. The primary means is by contributing to the Dr. Robert and Rogene Johnston Endowed Chemistry Fund. This endowment was established in memory of the late Bob Johnston, a 1943 graduate and Chemistry major at Hastings College. He went on to graduate school at the University of Colorado and then taught chemistry and directed chemistry research at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for 35 years. Funds from this endowment are used for student research projects. All majors in the department are required to conduct a senior research project.
Gifts can be given directly online using the link below and selecting “Other” under "Designated to" and enter “Dr. Robert and Rogene Johnston Endowed Chemistry Fund"
You can also contact Mike Karloff at the Hastings College Foundation directly at (402) 461-3979 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Another means of contributing directly to the department is with a naming opportunity in the new Morrison-Reeves Science Center. There is still one research laboratory space and several offices available in the Chemistry department for naming opportunities. An example of the signage is below. For more information about this please contact Mike Karloff at the Hastings College Foundation directly at (402) 461-3979 or email@example.com.
Other Ways to Give
